Dentelle de Fer continues our journey with the Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre planted decades ago and nurtured to this day on our organically farmed estate. Our first blend based on these varietals, Chemin de Fer, or iron road, is joined by Dentelle de Fer, a French phrase for iron lace.The artwork depicts the caboose of our steam train, with its beautiful iron lace balcony, weaving through our estate vineyards. Our winemakers use methods inspired by those used in southern France to capture and accentuate the beautiful nuances of the fruit crafted into this extraordinary wine. Dentelle de Fer is a medium bodied wine with delicate aromas of red plum, herbes de Provence and lavender, hallmarks of our estate Grenache. Intricately layered with Mourvèdre and Syrah, the silky texture is infused with bold tastes of strawberries and chocolate on the mid palate with a long, lingering finish of spice and licorice strong yet delicate, a true expression of iron lace.

SONOMA VALLEY | ESTATE VINEYARDS

The Lasseter Family Winery estate in Sonoma Valley is rich in historical significance, encompassing organically farmed vineyards and an eco-friendly winery. Justi Creek Vineyards, part of the stunning 95-acre ranch on the outskirts of Glen Ellen, is comprised of three adjacent parcels of land, formerly parts of Rancho Vallejo and Rancho Los Guilicos. Nancy and John Lasseter embarked on an environmentally sensitive upgrading of their property, lovingly restoring the natural habitat and converting the vineyards exclusively to organic farming practices. The pond was completely revitalized, and beehives and insectaries were established in order to provide homes for beneficial insects. The certified organic vineyards are flourishing under the watchful eye of vineyard manager Phil Coturri. Today the land is alive and once again expresses this historical regions unique terroir. Dentelle de Fer showcases the delicate aromas of red plum, herbes de Provence and lavender that are hallmarks of our estate Grenache Alban and Old Hill clones, intricately layered with estate Mourvèdre and Syrah. This medium bodied wine has both finesse and strength.
