Winemaking Notes
Since 2000, Lasseter has crafted exquisite wines inspired by the vineyards from which they were grown. This wine represents our commitment to, and passion for, producing wines that reflect the immense beauty and complexity of our vineyard sites. The Moon Mountain District Sonoma County is the source for these exceptional grapes. This small, high elevation appellation, rooted in diverse volcanic soils, provides ample sunlight and cool temperatures needed to produce wines of intensity and finesse, hallmarks of the worlds finest bottlings.
Vineyard Notes
Trinity Ridge Vineyard sits high above Sonoma Valley; along the southwestern slope of the Mayacamas Mountain Range overlooking the winery. This spectacular 9 acre vineyard, situated at the height of elevation in the Moon Mountain District, is a wild and untamed terroir of volcanic complexity. 107 different soil types littered with jagged rocks impart great complexity, minerality, depth of character and color to the grapes grown there. The southwestern exposure and high elevation of this site, high above the fog line, create consistent, slightly warmer temperate ranges, perfect for producing unforgettable wines.
Trinity Ridge Vineyard was planted by and is farmed organically under the watchful eye of vineyard manager Phil Coturri. This vineyard, consisting of two unique sites with varying elevation and exposure, is planted to Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc.
