Winemaking Notes
This wine is our inaugural vintage of Chardonnay from the spectacular Trinity Ridge Vineyard. Since 2000, Lasseter has crafted exquisite wines inspired by the vineyards from which they were grown. This Chardonnay represents our commitment to, and passion for, producing wines that reflect the immense beauty and complexity of our vineyard sites. The Moon Mountain District Sonoma County is the source for these exceptional grapes. This small, high elevation appellation, rooted in diverse volcanic soils, provides the ample sunlight and cool temperatures needed to produce wines of intensity and finesse, hallmarks of the worlds finest bottlings.
The cooler southeast facing slopes of the vineyard offer ideal terroir for producing elegant, medium-bodied Chardonnay of great complexity, balance, and finesse. Abundant citrus and floral aromas introduce a rich, silky palate layered with crisp apple, delicate pear, and brioche, which carry through over a lingering finish accented by subtle spice and mineral notes.

Vineyard Notes
The addition of high-elevation Trinity Ridge Vineyard, beginning with the 2017 vintage, opened a whole new chapter for us.
This dramatic site with its breathtaking views high atop Moon Mountain, produces strikingly pure, deep, bright Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc from its rugged, rocky, windswept volcanic terrain. Its mere nine acres of vines (out of 44 total) offer a diverse mosaic of soils, microclimates and exposures for these varieties to produce intensely flavored wines of rich texture and complexity.
The south and west-facing blocks are ideal for Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc, while Syrah (and now, Chardonnay!) thrive in the cooler bowl section of the vineyard.
