Winemaking Notes
Subtle tropical aromas open to an elegant, flavorful palate of pear and citrus, accented with a hint of vanilla. The rich mouthfeel is balanced by bright acidity, and a touch of spice over a long finish.
Vineyard Notes
Trinity Ridge Vineyard is a dramatic growing site at the height of elevation in the Moon Mountain District above Sonoma Valley. Nine acres of vines carved out of this 52-acre site, with its rugged, rocky, volcanic terrain, offer a diverse mosaic of soils, microclimates and exposures. This allows us to produce single varietal wines of great intensity, complexity, and minerality.
At an elevation of 1,700 feet, the south and west-facing blocks with their basaltic soils are ideal for Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc. Syrah and Chardonnay thrive in the deeper soil of the cooler bowl section of the vineyard.
