Winemaking Notes
Lasseter Family Winery has created a white wine blend we love to drink. After extensive tastings of white wines from many regions in France, we discovered that Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc blends resonated best with our palates. Voilà, enough said. Made in a classic European style, the wine was fermented in new and seasoned French oak barrels and aged 6 months on the lees with frequent battonage in the style of the old world. The resulting wine shows fig and citrus notes, alluring ripe fruit and hints of vanilla and spice. Et Voilà, share in our satisfaction as you savor this wine.
Vineyard Notes
The 2020 Voilà includes estate grown Semillon from Justi Creek Vineyards. This vineyard pays homage to historic old vine Semillon vineyards still found throughout Sonoma Valley. It is planted in the traditional head-pruned style, on St. George rootstock, using cuttings from the historic Monte Rosso Vineyard, home to the oldest planting of Semillon in California.
Beginning with the 2019 vintage, Voilà also features estate grown Sauvignon Blanc from the Moon Mountain District. These high-elevation vineyards, situated above Sonoma Valley and the fog line, along the western slope of the Mayacamas Mountain range, are rooted in volcanic soils, with rocky slopes and well-drained soils.
