At Lasseter Family Winery, we devote ourselves to creating unique and distinctive wine blends. The blending process is mercurial, each vintage requiring different proportions of wines to create continuity of style. The French phrase 'zut alors', means 'shucks!' our exact sentiment when we realize that small lots of exceptional wine are available after our blending process is complete. This wine tastes fantastic and is simply too precious not to share with friends. Leveroni Vineyard has been farmed by the same family for three generations and produces some of the best grapes in Sonoma Valley. Made in classic European sytle, the wine was barrel fermented and aged 10 months on the lees with frequent battonage. The wine has aromas of tropical fruit and melon with a supple texture on the palate.
Sonoma Valley | Leveroni Vineyard
Leveroni Vineyards, farmed by the same family for three generations, produces some of the best grapes in Sonoma VAlley. This site, located at the southern end of Sonoma Valley, enjoys cooling afternoon winds and summer evening fog. This terroir results in wines with classic acidity and structure, while displaying a lovely depth of flavor. The grapes for this wine were hand-harvested in the cool, early morning. Upon arrival at the winery the grapes were pressed immediately. Through blending two clones of Sauvignon Blanc, Clone Musque and Clone I, we are able to capture all the best of Sauvignon Blanc character. This wine has a crisp texture and layers of flavor - citrus, melon and lemongrass. We employed traditional winemaking techniques to produce this wine. Made in the classic European style, the wine was barrel fermented; aged ten months on the lees with frequent battonage.
